Bio Notes: Evelyn Heather Whitson was born about 1926, the daughter of Ronald Shiness Whitson, fruit farmer, and his wife Evelyn Maude Johnston. She studied at the School of Architecture, Edinburgh College of Art and was elected ARIBA in 1950. She married Sidney George Eustace Shipman, also an architect, on 14 July 1951. The couple were living at Middleton Farm, Menstrie about this time. By 1955 she was practising from the same address as her husband in Stirling. By 1960 she and her husband practised as Shipman & Partners in Stirling. At some popint (according to Richard Cassidy) she was Stirling County Architect. The couple later moved to Edinburgh, though the marriage subsequently broke up. She is no longer in the RIBA directory for 1979.
