Bio Notes: Torrance Oliver was formed sometime in the 1970s.

David Norman Torrance studied at the School of Architecture, Edinburgh College of Art and was elected ARIBA in 1963. By 1980 he had formed a partnership with George Kenneth Oliver. The practice was based in Dunfermline.

George Kenneth Oliver also studied at Edinburgh College of Art. He formed a partnership with Brian Robb in 1971 in Dunfermline. He was elected ARIBA in 1972. The practice, which developed a widespread clientele, subsequently became Oliver & May and by 1980 Torrance Oliver (in partnership with David Norman Torrance). It became one of the leading architectural firms of the area.
