GRANGEMOUTH OPENING OF NEW HALL OF WEST FREE CHURCH DEDICATION service. In connection with the opening of the new hall the West Free Church, special dedication service took place Tuesday night. The hall, it may be mentioned, is of very pleasing design, and is situated to the rear of the church. The windows are of Norman style of architecture and the structure will accommodate about 400 adults. A feature of the hall is that it is divided by a system of shutters, which open out from the walls, each class having thereby an apartment to itself of six feet square. When the hall is wanted for a public meeting, these shutters can be put back flush with tho wall. The building is heated by a system of radiators, each of which, by the turning a screw, can be made independent of the other. The mosaic work in the lobby has been laid by a London firm. The contractors for the work were as follow: —Mason work, J. Gardner, Falkirk joiner work, Mr John Farquhar, Grangemouth; slater and plaster work, Peter Baird, Grangemouth; painter work, Mr Cochrane, Grangemouth; plumber work, Mr Peter Kincaid, Grangemouth; glass work, Mr O'May, Falkirk. The gifted window is the work of Messrs Stephen Adam and Son, Glasgow, and the architect was Mr G. Deas Page, Falkirk.
