Notes: New south front built 1770-73 by Richard Dixon, carpenter, and Joseph Dixon, mason, both of London. In September 1772, Radcliffe paid 'Messrs Adams' 140 and in December he paid 26 16s to 'Mr Naismith Foreman to messrs Adams for plan'. It eould therefore appear that the new front with Drawing and Music Rooms was based on drawings by the Adams.
