Notes: New south front built 1770-73 by Richard Dixon, carpenter, and Joseph Dixon, mason, both of London. In September 1772, Radcliffe paid 'Messrs Adams' £140 and in December he paid £26 16s to 'Mr Naismith Foreman to messrs Adams for plan'. It eould therefore appear that the new front with Drawing and Music Rooms was based on drawings by the Adams.
