Notes: The construction of a sea wall between Station Road (now Links Road) and Grangemuir Road, Prestwick together with the laying out of approximately 11 acres of land behind. The proposals included new walks connecting Burgh Road, Park Street and Ailsa Street with a broad pathway or Esplanade immediately behind the sea wall. Estimated cost £5,000. In January 1909 William Cowie was preparing plans and estimates of cost.

In 1929 it was proposed to further extend the sea wall to both the north and south of the existing sea wall. Provision was to include a bathing pool and paddling pool. Again, William Cowie of Ayr was instructed to prepare plans.

See separate item for open air bathing pool
