'The extension of this market has now been finished. The new buildings are 50 feet wide and run along South Market Street for a distance of 430 feet, the wall along the street being constructed of red Ruabon brick, the inside being lined with brown glazed Ruabon brick, so as to permit thorough flushing. At the junction of the old and new market a new block containing telegraph and officials’ office, restaurant etc. and measuring 91 feet by 50 feet has been erected.
