Notes: The site chosen for the new infirmary was on the east side of Oxford Road and a new competition organised. Now massively extended and covering some 42 acres this remains one of Manchester’s major hospitals.

Burnet was the assessor for the extension competition in 1904, which was won by Hall & Brooke.
