Notes: This house was recently erected at Davidson’s Mains near Edinburgh. The materials employed were local stone with roughcast with stone dressings of doorways and other hewn work from Prudham Quarry. The slates were Ballaculish or Eusdale, with a certain proportion of Craiglea slates worked in. The total cost, including laying out of grounds, professional fees, etc was £2,400.
