Notes: The building is planned with a central hall on each floor giving direct access to the classrooms, the upper floor hall having an open gallery on one side, with high mullioned windows connecting he two storeys. There are separate entrances for boys and girls at each end of the hall. Nine classrooms are provided for thirty pupilseach. On the upper floor there are a science room, art room, cookery and laundry room and gymnasium, while a portion of the old school has been converted into a workroom for 20 boys. The principal facade is in a free treatment of Renaissance, executed in red sandstone, while the other elevations are of brick and roughcast with stone dressings.
