| Notes: | Unexecuted schemes produced as a result of the Glasgow Airdrie and Monklands Railway Company's wish to occupy the High Street site of the original University buildings. The Company made an offer for the latter site, promising in return to build a new university in the West End. They purchased the Woodlands site for the purpose in 1847 and designs were commissioned, but they subsequently pulled out of the deal. Site subsequently built over with a residential scheme by Charles Wilson. |
