Economically planned, having two public room, four bedrooms and garage incorporated and all the usual offices, this house is built of local brick, roughcast, with red brick dressings and steps (also local). The roof is covered with brown-red tiles and the walls are finished cream. Special attention has been given to the internal fittings, the woodwork being treated to show all the natural figuring. The electric fittings are all wall fittings of original design. Standard cottage iron casements fitted in wood frames are used throughout. The architect is Mr M M Ochterlony [Builder 26 April 1929 p764]
