The Caledon Pictures Limited, 21 Blythswood-square, Glasgow, has under consideration the rebuilding of the frontage of the Lyceum cinema in Govan-road together with interior alterations. [Builder 20 August 1937, page 337]
Plans are in the course of preparation for the erection of a cinema to replace the Lyceum which was recently destroyed by fire. The cinema is to be erected on a site near Govan Cross and the architects are Messrs Charles McNair and Elder 274 St Vincent Street, Glasgow. [Builder 17 December 1937 Page 1139]
