Notes: The foundation stone of a new Episcopal Church was laid at Kelso on Monday. The church, which is to cost £3,500, consists in plan of nave, north and south aisles, and chancel, with organ chamber on north side, and vestry. The nave and aisles are seated for a congregation of about 350, and the chancel is stalled for priests and choir. The style adopted is Early Geometric Gothic. Mr R Anderson, of Edinburgh, is the architect. [Building News 29 May 1868 p367]
