Basic Biographical Details Name: | Ian Robertson | Designation: | | Born: | 1965 | Died: | | Bio Notes: | Ian Robertson was born in Aberdeen in 1965. He attended the Harlaw Academy before beginning his studies at the Scott Sutherland School of Architecture in 1983.
Upon graduation, with a Diploma in Advanced Architectural Studies, he joined Walter Underwood and Partners as a year-out student in 1989. He completed his part III exam with the pratice in 1990.
Whilst at Walter Underwood, he worked with David Leslie and Roddy McCallum on the Barony Hall Project and went with them when they set up the David Leslie Partnership.
He left David Leslie Partnership in 1996, and was the first architect in Scotland employed by corporate real estate company Jones Lang Wootton/ LaSalle (now Jones Lang LaSalle).
In 1999 he moved to Sligo, in the west of the Republic of Ireland and set up a partnership with Vincent Hannon. In 2004 he set up his own practice in Northern Ireland, before joining Mirvac Design in Western Australia in 2008.
He still resides in WA as of 2021. |
