Basic Biographical Details

Name: Percy Francis Crofts
Designation:
Born:
Died:
Bio Notes: Percy Francis Crofts studied for the diploma in architecture in Leicester and was elected ARIBA in 1955. He was living at Kinloch House, Haddington in 1955. He was a partner of Peter Noel Bailey (who also studied at Leicester) and the practice name was Crofts & Bailey. It is not clear what his movements were between the mid-1950s and 1970s. His address remained as being at Kinloch House, Haddington although he seems to have worked elsewhere during this period with other addresses given in some directories. In 1979 he was practising as Messrs Francis Crofts, later, in the 1980s Francis Crofts Associates, from Kinloch House. The address given in the 1994 directory is 3 (rather than 1) Market Stret, Haddington and it is possible he then had an office in an adjacent building.
