Bio Notes: James Dewar Ramsay studied for the diploma in architecture at Dundee College of Art and for the diploma in town planning at Edinburgh College of Art. He was elected ARIBA in 1966. From 1964 to1967 he had a post as architectural assistant in the Technical Department of Glenrothes New Town Development Corporation. He was responsible for the drawings of house at Woodside in 1964 and of various different house types in 1966. He moved to Arbroath about 1970 and continued to live there until after 1994. That year he was working from his home address under the style James D Ramsay.
