| Bio Notes: | Martin Lawrence was elected a student member of the RIBA in 1962. He studied for the degree of BArch at the University of Edinburgh and was elected ARIBA in 1970. About that time he worked for the SSHA. However he subsequently pursued a career in sailing and wrote pilot books for yachtsmen and is a Fellow of the Royal Institute of Navigation. He is well known as the author of The Yachtman's Pilot series. He has contributed to Yachting Monthly and the yachting press in Scotland |
