Bio Notes: Arthur Russell Daley studied for the diploma in architecture and the diploma in town planning at Durham/Newcastle-upon-Tyne. He was elected ARIBA in 1949 and ARIAS in 1953. In this latter year he was living in Hamilton, Lanarkshire and had a post in the County Planning Department of Lanarkshire County Council. By 1960 he had moved to work for the North Riding County Planning Department which was based in Northallerton. By 1965 he had transferred to the Area Planning Office in Easingwold, Yorkshire. In 1979 he is recorded in directories as working for Hambleton District Council, Bedale Hall, Bedale, Yorkshire. He is not listed in the 1984 directory and must therefore had retired between 1979 and 1984.
