Bio Notes: Harry Averley studied for the diploma in architecture at Edinburgh College of Art and was elected ARIBA in 1974. He returned to the College for a further degree in town planning in the 1970s. By 1979 he was working in Oxford. However he returned to Scotland and was a partner in W J Cairns & Partners by 1981. He had moved to Northern Ireland by 1984 perhaps in charge of the Craigavon office of W J Cairns.
