Bio Notes: William Cowper Fraser was born on 8 April 1931, the son of William Donald Fraser, hotel barman and his wife Annabella Copland McAlear. He studied for the diploma in architecture at Aberdeen School of Art and was elected ARIBA in 1959. He moved to Edinburgh thereafter where he remained until the later 1970s. He is probably the William Fraser who worked in the office of Eric Hall & Partners in about 1960. Around 1979 he spent some time in the United Arab Emirates. He does not appear in the directory for 1984 and must have retired by then.

He died on 5 Ocotber 2009 at Marine House, Rosemarkie. He was survived by his wife Margaret Tabitha Heggie, a retired primary school teacher and at least one son.
