Bio Notes: James Allan McAllister studied for the diploma in architecture at Glasgow School of art and was elected ARIBA in 1963. In 1979 he was working in the practice Gratton, McLean & Partners. By 1984 he and Norris Hamilton had re-named the practice HAmilton-McAllister Architects although they remained in the old offices of Gratton McLean. By 1994 he was practing as Allan McAlister & Associates in Paisley.
