Bio Notes: James Carnegie was elected a student member of the RIBA in 1953. Around that time he was based in Brechin, Angus. He was still a student member in about 1960 but had moved to live in Edinburgh. He may never have qualified as he is not listed in the mid-1960s or thereafter. He is probably the same James Carnegie who studied at Aberdeen School of Architecture and was awarded the diploma in 1954 and who was working for Irvine New Town Development Corporation in the early 1970s.
