Around this time he was living in Paisley. He studied at Glasgow School of Art and was elected ARIBA in 1950. By 1955 he had moved to Ayrshire but was back in Paisley by 1960. By 1965 he was practising as Macmillan & Morrison in Bothwell, Lanarkshire. In 1975 the practice was operating from 2 Royal Crescent, Glasgow.
