Basic Biographical Details

Name: Andrew Gilmour
Designation:
Born: 17 February 1934
Died: 2018
Bio Notes: Andrew Gilmour studied architecture at Edinburgh College of Art and was elected ARIBA in 1960. He would appear to have been the same Andrew Gilmout who worked for the LCC in London, followed by a period of time in the office of Robert Matthew, Johnson Marshall & Partners. Between 1965 and 1970 he gave his address as 11 Belford Mews but in 1979 he was a lecturer in the Department of Architecture at Edinburgh College of Art. He still gave this as his address in the RIBA directory for 1984. However he seems to have been a partner with Archibald MacAlister in the early 1970s but although the name was retained he seems to have withdrawn at some point during this decade.
