By 1960 Duncan was employed in the planning team of the Edinburgh office of Robert Matthew Johnson-Marshall. He was transferred to the Percy Johnson-Marshall & Associates payroll in the early 1960s. His address in 1970 was in Hertfordshire. He seems to have then become an employee of the combined firm again and spent some time in the office in Jeddah before returning to London.
He was listed in the 1994 directory by which time he a PhD from the University of Durham.
