Bio Notes: David Barnet Buchanan was born on 18 August 1922 in the Schoolhouse, Buckhaven, the son of Thomas Thomson Buchanan, and his wife Jemima Barnet. He was elected a student member of the RIBA in 1948. He studied at Edinburgh College of Art. He was also a qualified town planner. He was elected ARIBA in 1950. He may have been working for Glenrothes Development Corporation after qualification as his address is in Glenrothes in 1953-54. By 1960 he had moved to St Boniface, Manitoba.
