Bio Notes: Ernest Langley Bent was born on 12 April 1908, the son of William Ernest Bent, wool classer, and his wife Elizabeth Langley. He was stationed at the Royal Navy Air Station in Lossiemouth in 1948. He was elected ARIBA in 1949. He was practising in England by the early 1950s. He returned to Scotland and was in Glasgow in 1960 (he was elected ARIAS in 1965) and in Cumbernauld in 1970 where he remained until his death the following year on 22 February 1971. He was survived by his wife Kathleen Frances Joliffe and at least one son.
