Bio Notes: William Mathieson Dugan Emslie was born on 30 July 1937 in Aberdeen, the son of William Emslie, solicitor, and his wife Elizabeth Maddine Duggan. He studied architecture at the School of Architecture in Aberdeen. He was elected ARIBA in 1965. He joined the Aberdeen office of Baxter Clark & Paul in that same year and was appiointed Associate in 1970 and Senior Associate in 1975. He had the role of depute to the partners in charge in Aberdeen. He left Baxter Clark & Paul in the later 1980s to set up on his own. He retired somewhere between 1984 and 1994.
