He was living in Kirkcaldy around the time he was admitted a student member of the RIBA in 1949. He studied for the diploma in architecture at Edinburgh College of Art. He was elected ARIBA in 1950. He moved to Glenrothes by 1965 where he worked for the Development Corporation and remained there. He is no longer listed in 1987.
