Basic Biographical Details Name: | Derek Alexander Nicolson | Designation: | | Born: | 13 May 1943 | Died: | | Bio Notes: | Derek Alexander Nicolson was born on 13 May 1943 in Aberdeen, the son of Alexander Molyneux Nicolson, bank clerk, (although in 1943 he was seerving with the RAF) and his wife Elsie Morrison Wylie. They seem to have lived in Dufftown about the time of his birth. He studied at the School of Architecture, Aberdeen, being awarded his diploma in 1966 and being elected ARIBA in 1969.
In 1979 he worked for Bower Rennie in Dundee. Between 1979 and 1984 he transferred to BAxter Clarke & Paul.
