Bio Notes: Holford Associates was the practice which succeeded to William Holford & Associates. It would appear to have been in operation from at least 1980, if not earlier. There were thirteen partners listed in 1980. They were spread among offices in Westminster, London, Southwark, London, Canterbury, Liverpool, Glasgow and Edinburgh. Only Scottish based partners are included in the Dictionary.
Work in about 1981 included University development plans: halls of residence, libraries, theatre at St Andrews. In the period 1960-80 the practice undertook town planning, architectural and landscape servioces for the Primary Highway Network of Glasgow for Strathclyde Regional Council. It also was responsible for Glasgow Underground modernisation for the Greater Glasgow Public Transport Executive. It undertook work for Scottish & Newcastle.
