Bio Notes: William Brook Sampson was born on 4 April 1899, the son of William Brook Sampson, clerk, and his wife Alexandrina Dobbie. He was a student member of the RIBA from 1951. He probably studied at Edinburgh College of Art. He was elected ARIBA in 1958. He had moved to Currie by 1960. By 1970 he was a partner in Bowhill Laing & Partners.

Sampson died at Fairmile Nursing Home, Edinburgh on 13 June 1979. He was single.
