Basic Biographical Details Name: | James William Forbes Sinclair | Designation: | | Born: | 12 June 1931 | Died: | 16 July 1998 | Bio Notes: | James William Forbes Sinclair was born on 12 Jaune 1931, the son of John Brown Sinclair, coachbuilder and his wife, Margaret Cormack Forbes. He studied at the School of Architecture Dundee College of Art from September 1956 until June 1961. He joined the Caithness County Architects Separtment in July of the latter years and remained there until late 1963. He was elected ARIBA in 1963 and ARIAS in 1967. In 1964 he was appointed to the South Eastern Regional Hospital Board where he remained until joining W G Brown & Co and in 1971 or 1972 he became a partner. The practice title became Forbes Sinclair in 1975 and later Forbes Sinclair & Associates. In 1991 he was elected FRIAS.
