Bio Notes: John Walter David Thomson studied for the BArch degree at the University of Strathclyde and was elected ARIBA in 1966. He was also AIArb and ARIAS.

He qualified as an architect in 1964 and immediately took over Weddell & Thomson following the sudden death of his father

He remained with the practice until after 2000 when he sold the practice to Coban and Lironi, who continued the practice as Coban, Lironi, Weddell and Thomson.
