Bio Notes: Robert Leonard Parry studied the degree of DA at Glasgow School of Art later converted to BArch at the University of Strathclyde). He qualified in 1950, becoming ARIBA that year. He was initially employed by East Kilbride Development Corporation. He moved to become an associate with Sam Bunton & Associates before joining David Hughes in partnership in 1961. He was admitted ARIAS in 1964.

He remained in partnership with Hughes until ill-health forced him to retire in August 1988.

In his private life Parry was a keen golfer and musician. His musical ability was such that he could have made this his career had he chosen to do so.

Parry died on 31 October 1989, survived by his wife, one son and one daughter.
