Bio Notes: Bernard Laurie Matthew took Hamish Haldane Haswell-Smith into partnership before 1965. Initially they practised as Matthew & Haswell-Smith. They were joined by Alexander Hall McLean sometime before 1970 and the name changed to Matthew, Smith & Partners. They had offices in Dunfermline, Edinburgh and Bathgate. In 1964 they won the Siporex Housing Design Award.
