He was elected a student member of the RIBA in 1953. He studied at the School of Art in Glasgow. He was elected ARIBA and ARIAS in 1956. He moved to Renfrewshire about 1960 and remained at the same address for the rest of his career. He is not listed in 1994.
He was awarded first prize in senior section of Stirling Society of Architects annual competition (open to students) on 1 Oct 1959.
