Bio Notes: Thomas James Norman Conway was born in Edinburgh in 1934 or 1935, the son of William Conway, Church of Scotland minister and his wife, Mary Anderson. He was assistant architect with Midlothian County Council until 1956 when he was appointed to the post of Assistant County Architect in Shetland. He was elected ARIAS in 1957. In 1958 he was promoted to County Architect.

He died suddenly while on holiday in Edinburgh on 27 September 1960. He married twice, first to Elizabeth Macpherson and second to Marjorie Booth.
