Bio Notes: George Watson was born on 28 February 1922, the son of William Watson, farmer, and his wife Euphemia Neilson. He studied architecture at the School of Art in Glasgow. He was elected a student member of the RIBA in 1949, ARIBA in 1952 and ARIAS in 1956. He practised as an architect in Lanarkshire. In 1981 he was running the practice Malcolm Ross & Sons from 36 Main Street, Lanark. Later he would appear to have practised from his home at Stanmore Road in Lanark. He is still listed under this address in 1987.

Watson died on 22 June 2003 at Wishaw General Hospital, suvived by his wife Marion Bryce Burrell and at least one son who lived in Lanark.
