Bio Notes: William Ritchie Wellwood was born In Edinburgh on 26 August 1923, the son of John Robert Spottiswood Wellwood and his wife Mary Anderson Slavert. He studied at Edinburgh College of Art and was admitted ARIBA in 1949 and ARIAS in 1952. About this time he had a post with the practice of Miller & Tulloch. At about that date he was living in Edinburgh at 1 Gladstone Terrace. He later worked for the Scottish Health Service, CSA Building Division. He remained with the organisation and was eventually in charge of the Edinburgh office. He was still in this post in 1979. He is not listed in 1987.

He moved to the Lake District after retirement.
