Bio Notes: Iain Douglas MacLaren studied for the degree of BArch and for the Diploma in Architecture in Glasgow. He spent his year put with Wylie Shanks & Partners in 1972. He was elected ARIBA in 1978. He joined the Wylie Shanks & Partners in 1976 as project architect becoming partner in 1982 and senior partner in 1996. He gained an accreditation in conservation from the RIAS in 2006. He is a member of the Association of Project Managers and the Association of Project Safety. He was elected a Fellow of the RIAS in 1991.
