Bio Notes: Robert Hutton Black Lowe was born on 27 MAy 1917, the son of John Lowe, irondriller, and his wife Mary Lyle Black. He studied at Glasgow School of Architecture and was admitted ARIBA in 1949. By 1970 he ws working for Cowie Torry & Partners (in what capacity is yet to be discovered). He remained there at least until 1979. He was living in Troon in the late 1980s.

Lowe died at the Sun Court Nursing Home in Troon on 12 October 2008. His wife, Audrey Elizabeth Shaw, had predeceased him but he was survived by his daughter.
