Bio Notes: Robert Patrick Duthie was born on 19 September 1918 in Aberdeen, the son of Robert Patrick Duthie, master engraver, and his wife Catherine Moir Stephen. At the time of his son's birth Duthie senior was a sapper with the Inland Water Transport Department. Robert junior studied for the diploma in architecture in Aberdeen. He was admitted ARIBA in 1950. At that date he was living at 10 Belgrave Terrace, Aberdeen. He worked in the Aberdeen City Architect's Department. He died in Poole, Dorset aged 81 after a long illness on 20 May 2000 at which time he was a retired ARIAS. He was survived by his wife (Joan?) and his daughter Julie.
