Bio Notes: John Harvey McLaren studied at the Scott Sutherland School of Architecture in Aberdeen for his diploma in architecture and at Edinburgh College of Art for his diploma in town planning. He was admitted ARIBA in 1967. He became a partner with J & F Johnston & Partners. Although Bailey gives the date of his partnership as 1974 in the RIBA directory of 1975 he is not listed as a partner, although this may have gone to press before his partnership was agreed. He would appear to be the senior partner by the 1980s.
