Basic Biographical Details

Name: Ian Alexander Ferguson

Bio Notes: Ian Alexander Ferguson studied for the diploma in architecture in Aberdeen and was elected ARIBA in 1957. From about 1970 he was Falkirk Burgh Architect. In 1979 he worked for the National Building Agency in Manchester. In 1986 he was City Architect in Aberdeen. (N.B. There is a conflict of information here. Glendinning says he was Aberdeen City Architect from 1975-1989. Perhaps he was in the City Architect's Department from 1975 but had a spell in Manchester, returning to the post of City Architect?)
