Bio Notes: Joan Margaret Munro was the wife of Ian Munro and daughter-in-law of Thomas J Munro. Joan Munro, who was trained as both architect and town planner studied at the School of Architecture, Edinburgh College of Art and was admitted ARIBA in 1947. She left the practice in 1952 to start a family and was replaced as partner by Howard John Chitty. However it would appear that she had returned to the practice by 1970 and remained there until at least 1979.
