Bio Notes: Robert Roger Alexander was born on 12 August 1933, the son of John Morris Alexander, journeyman bricklayer, and his wife Julia Grant Murray. He studied architecture at Edinburgh College of Art and was elected ARIBA in 1959 and ARIAS the following year. By the early 1960s he had moved to Aberdeen and joined the practice of George Bennett Mitchell & Son. He became a partner in 1971 and stayed with the practice until after 1994.
