Bio Notes: George Norman Middleton was born on 3 June 1913 and was articled to John Alexander Ogg Allan in August 1932. He studied at Aberdeen School of Architecture from that year and passed the exam for exemption from the RIBA Final there on 17 June 1938. The following month he joined the Air Ministry as an assistant. He was admitted ARIBA on 6 March 1939, his proposers being Albert Edward Richardson, Arthur F C Bentley and Paul Badcock. At that time he was living in Kent and he appears to have remained there thereafter.

His membership of the RIBA was terminated in 1972; the reasons for this are unclear. He died in Bexley in 1977, his death being registered between April and June of that year.
