Bio Notes: James Campbell was an apprentice in the practice of Sinclair Macdonald & Son from 1948 to 1951. He studied at Edinburgh College of Art and and was elected ARIBA in 1958. He returned to the same firm as a partner in 1960. He was principal by the mid-1980s and became a partner in Stockan Sloan & Sinclair Macdonald after the firm's amalgamation with the Kirkwall surveyors Stockan & Sloan in 1995. He retired in 1999. He lives (2012) in Thurso.
