Bio Notes: Robert Wright (senior) was the father of Robert Wright (junior). He worked mainly in the New Town of Edinburgh. He is described as an 'architect' in Post Office directories; he was also a speculative builder who rented out property as well as working as a contractor in Edinburgh. In about 1808-1809 he acted as agent in the sale of properties in Edinburgh built by James Pirie, builder. Near the end of his life he worked outwith Edinburgh as well.

He died on 28 September 1839.
